Meet Rachelle

Rachelle is the Pastry Chef at Intricate Icings and has been enjoying every minute at the shop since joining Rachael’s team this summer.  Pastry has always been a passion of Rachelle’s, but has only just recently become her career.  After moving out to Colorado from California with her husband to attend graduate school at the University of Colorado, Rachelle obtained her Master’s degree in Geophysics and worked as a technical consultant in patent law.  On a whim she took a part-time pastry arts course at the Culinary School of the Rockies, and enjoyed the class so much she decided to make pastry a full-time career!

Since starting at Intricate Icings, Rachelle has learned so much about the art of cake decorating from Rachael and is so grateful for the opportunity.  Rachelle loves all things pastry and is happy to create one of our wonderful cake flavors for your special event; from orange rum cake with oranges and cream, to butter pecan cake with caramel mousse, or any flavor combination custom designed to your wishes!  When she is not at the shop listening to 90’s music with Carolyn and Rachael, Rachelle loves enjoying the outdoors by hiking, backpacking, or just going for a walk with her husband Scott and their dog Ona.
