It’s rare that we duplicate a cake exactly as it was originally done by another designer, but our bride had her heart set on this amazing western themed wedding cake.  We made a silicone mold of a concho and then recreated them out of sugar.  The chocolate fondant is embossed with a western floral design.  It definitely fit the theme of this rustic ceremony in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

  2. Hi Emily,
There are all different types of items that can be used for embossing. I went to a local western store and found a textured soap dispenser. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Good luck! We have another cake like things next summer with a belt as well. Should be a very cool cake.
    Congrats and happy wedding planning.
