Go Buffs!
As the college football regular season comes to a close, we are excited that things are beginning to improve for our neighbors to the west. Today is a big day for fans of the University of Colorado, as a big win against their rivals could potentially mean a bowl game birth for the Buffs, even after a very rocky season! With that in mind, we wanted to post a photo of a cake we did recently – recreating Ralphie the Buffalo for a special Colorado fan! The very stoic mascot was inspired by the statue that stands outside of beautiful Folsom Field. Here’s hoping CU can bring home a victory against the Huskers!

Bold & Beautiful
We love when couples come to us with “out of the box” concepts and nontraditional color palettes. Yellows, Oranges and Blacks are not traditional wedding colors so we jumped at the chance to create a bold cake that reflected this contemporary choice in colors. The floral accents graduated from a more subtle yellow at the top to a very bright orange on the bottom tier. The design tied together perfectly with the chic black pattern around each level. Wedding Cupcake Display
We have been hearing a lot of requests from Brides lately who want to incorporate cupcakes into their wedding cake display. It’s definitely a cost effective way to feed a lot of guests, while still having a small cake to cut for both ceremonial purposes, but also to feed the family or bridal party. This is something we frequently do, with a number of different designs. In the set-up below, the two tier cake is certainly the focal point, with it’s modern floral decor and bold use of color. The cupcakes below mimic the floral design in the tiered cake, yet soften the look for a more elegant feel. Such a great set-up for a beautiful reception, in the most unique locations we have ever delivered – Willowbrook Amphitheater, a cavernous area located in Morrison, Colorado.
