We had over 49 loyal fans comment on our post yesterday and make some really good guesses, but there can only be one winner…okay, 5 winners, but you get the picture!! Like we said, we were up to our ears in cupcakes at the studio. We baked, filled, iced and decorated a grand total of 1172 cupcakes! That’s total craziness considering we do not specialize in cupcakes!

Well, it’s definitely football season…
For the last few weeks, we have been busy sculpting cakes into varying football related objects. There have been plenty of 3D helmets and a few 3D footballs going out the door with a groom’s favorite team decal on them.
But this last weekend, we had a unique request from one of our bride’s. She wanted a 3D football with two team decals. It seems her husband-to-be is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and doesn’t care so much for the Denver Broncos. I know…how can that be living in Denver! Well anyways, she wanted both logos on the football and as a little prank she wanted us to display the Broncos logo facing out so that was the first thing her groom saw.
We love when couple’s can have fun on their special day! No telling how he reacted when he saw the football, but we’re sure he was pleased when it was turned around and he saw his beloved Steelers’ logo!

It’s been a very busy week here in the kitchen and we are up to our ears in cupcakes. So, if you had to guess…how many do you think we’ve baked off this week? It might be more than you think, but then again, maybe it’s not. If you are willing to throw a guess our way and it ends up being the closest…we are willing to give you a free dozen of assorted cupcakes!

French Lace Belted Beauty
We love how the simple beauty of this cake design with the custom french lace belt lends itself to the romantic feel of the evening. The delicate spray of plum raisin colored calla lilies as the topper pulls in all the design details and adds anelegant touch to the cake. We are grateful for the amazing photos sent over from Beth Photography, they really portray the romance shared between this couple.
