Wedding Wednesday: Show Your Personality

Don't be afraid to show your wedding guests your true personality. When I met Nova and Sean, I knew they were a super fun couple. I mean, how could they not be, they were asking for a monster popping out of a wedding cake. But I also knew Nova was a beautiful bride looking for some sophistication to balance that quirkiness.

Nova brought some really amazing details to the consultation. She was adding several DIY elements to the wedding decor which served as inspiration for the cake design. From fabric elements to the adorable save the date card featuring caricatures of the bride and groom and the hand stamped invitation, I was in love and couldn't wait to get designing.

Rather than a monster popping out of the cake, we opted to turn the cake into the monster. His torso was a combination of a stamped mountain scene from the invitation and a floral pattern from one of the many fabrics used at the reception.
